The city, as Budapest moves through it
By default you travel as the city does: the century-old M1 beneath Andrássy út, tram 2 along the river past Parliament, the boats that count as public transport. Your gentleman has the tickets. You have the view.
Should you prefer, a chauffeured car is a message away: a private driver, door to door, for arrivals, rainy afternoons and days beyond the city. Street taxis are never used, which alone removes the most common misfortune to befall a visitor here.

Before you reserve
Is this a bodyguard service?
No. Gentleman Abroad is a hospitality service. Your gentleman is a vetted local host who takes care of the city for you. Where licensed close protection is required, we arrange it through a licensed security partner as a separate upgrade.
Who are the gentlemen?
Local men aged 25 to 45 from hospitality, luxury retail, the arts and the services. Fluent in English and Hungarian, police-certified, interviewed twice, referenced and trained. You meet yours by video call before you travel.
May I drink?
Of course. A glass at lunch, a fröccs on the bridge, cocktails in the ruin bars. He walks you home. The service is not for pub crawls or for getting drunk, and our booking terms set out what happens should an evening go past that point.
How do we get around?
As the city does: metro, tram and boat, with the tickets in his pocket. A chauffeured car with a private driver is available as an upgrade. Street taxis are never used.
What if I would like time alone?
Say so. He waits nearby or returns at the hour you choose. Quiet is one of the settings you choose when you reserve.
How far ahead should I reserve?
A week is comfortable. Last-minute evenings are often possible. Share your dates and we will tell you the same day.
